Testimonials

Where are you based?

We are based in Auckland, but are happy to travel

How long do you play at a gig/event?

Anything up to 4 hours. Usually broken into four 50 minute sets - but if the place is rockin', we can extend the sets to keep our audience on that dance floor!

What does EVOLUTION provide once we book you?

We provide:

- Superbly executed live band party entertainment

- Experienced musicians with track records in numerous bands

- An exciting and varied song list

- Party music for any occasion

- Special song requirements catered for

- Top quality PA and sound equipment

- Everything "Live" - no backing tracks or sequencers

- Full lighting rig with smoke machine

- Extensive and versatile music collection for intervals and band breaks

How much space do you require?

We have discovered over the years that many venues are not specifically designed for live bands, so we have learned to adapt to any space - be it a large marquee, a hotel ballroom, the corner of a public bar, an aircraft hangar or the band rotunda at the Zoo! It is nice to have a raised stage and a 6m by 4m area to play on, but we have been known to squeeze into the tiniest of venues when necessary. Flexibility is the key!

Can we use your PA system and microphones for speeches and announcements?

Of course - you're more than welcome - and we will show you how it all works!

When we contact you for a booking, what info do you require?

Event date, Venue location, Start/finish times, Number of guests attending (to get an idea of your sound and lighting requirements), any other special requirements, your contact details

Can you offer any advice and expertise?

Absolutely. After many years of pub gigs, corporate events, weddings, birthdays, Christmas and New Years functions, we like to think that we've "seen it all", and are more than happy to share the benefit of our experience when it comes to planning your special occasion.

Last but not least, what will it cost?

As they say, "there's no show without the business". While the fee we charge is always negotiable, things to consider are location (i.e how far from Auckland), whether we need to make more than one visit to the venue (sometimes the customer may require us to set up early in the day, and then return in the evening), number of guests (which may require additional equipment and sound engineers), and whether we may need overnight accommodation. Just check out our contact details on the home page and we'll get it sorted.
